Shooting Sports Training - RSO & CRSO

The Shooting Sports Committee offers several NRA shooting sports classes.

Participants can attend Part 1 and/or Part 2. Part 1 must be renewed every two years and must be current to attend Part 2.

Part 1: 

Friday,
6-10 pm  

NRA Basic Instructor Training (BIT) 

Part 2: 

Saturday,
8 am - 5 pm

NRA Range Safety Officer (RSO) and 
NRA Chief Range Safety Officer (CRSO)

Participants can camp on Friday night.

What to Bring:

  • Copy of BSA Annual Health and Medical Record (part A&B for all Scouting events)
  • Copy of Activity Consent Form, for every youth participant (ages 21 and under)
  • Water, drinks, sack lunch for Saturday snacks (eat breakfast before arriving)
  • Note-taking materials
  • If camping on Friday night, bring camping gear and Saturday breakfast (or drive into town). Eat dinner before arriving.
Cost
$250.00 per Part 1 2 3: BIT RSO CRSO)
$50.00 per Part 1 only: Basic Instructor Training
$200.00 per Part 2 & 3 only: RSO & CRSO
$100.00 per Part 2 only: RSO
$100.00 per Part 3 only: CRSO
